We teach students to slow down in front of something before they answer it. There are three key habits that  run through every class.

Early Reading Foundation

TYPICAL PLACEMENT: KINDERGARTEN–GRADE 2

Sounds first. Kids work through the 43 foundational sounds of English and learn how sounds build words, so they can read something they’ve never seen before instead of guessing at it.

What we cover

  • Phonemic awareness. Hearing the individual sounds inside a spoken word, before any letters are involved.

  • The 43 sounds of English. Every sound the language uses, taught in sequence rather than alphabetically.

  • Blending and segmenting. Pushing sounds together into a word, and pulling a word back apart.

  • Orthographic mapping. How a word gets stored in memory so it's recognized instantly instead of sounded out every time.

  • Decodable texts. Reading material built only from sounds the child has already learned, so nothing has to be guessed.

What a class looks like

  • Multi-sensory phonics games
  • Shared reading of decodable texts
  • Letter-sound formation practice

By the end, a student can

  • Decode unfamiliar three- and four-letter words
  • Read high-frequency sentences with confidence
  • Identify all foundational English phonemes

Vocabulary & Sentence Architecture

TYPICAL PLACEMENT: GRADES 1–4

How words work together. Not rules to memorize, but the machinery under a clear sentence: parts of speech, how phrases attach, and how to turn a plain sentence into a precise one.

What we cover

  • Functional grammar. Parts of speech taught as jobs a word does in a sentence, not labels to recite.

  • Sentence combining. Turning short, choppy sentences into one precise one.

  • Descriptive vocabulary. Building word choice deliberately: verbs and adjectives that carry real weight.

  • Morphology. Prefixes, suffixes, and roots, so unfamiliar words become predictable rather than new.

  • Editing for clarity. Finding the weak point in a sentence and explaining why it's weak.

What a class looks like

  • Sentence-building workshops
  • Interactive vocabulary mapping
  • Editing exercises for clarity and precision

By the end, a student can

  • Write grammatically correct, complex sentences
  • Use precise verbs and adjectives in context
  • Vary sentence structure for better flow

Analytical Reading & Writing

TYPICAL PLACEMENT: GRADES 3–7

Students take a text apart, argue about it out loud in Socratic discussion, then use what they found to build original multi-paragraph writing of their own.

What we cover

    Textual analysis. Taking a text apart: structure, sequence, and what the writer chose to leave out.

    Authorial intent and bias. Asking why a writer made these choices, and who they were writing for.

    Evidence-based argument. Supporting a claim with specific lines from the text, and spotting when evidence doesn't hold.

    Socratic discussion. Students answering each other rather than the teacher, defending a reading and revising it.

    Multi-paragraph structure. Thesis, development, and revision as rethinking rather than tidying.

What a class looks like

  • Group discussion of complex texts
  • Brainstorming and outlining sessions
  • Drafting and peer review feedback

By the end, a student can

  • Formulate a clear thesis and support it with evidence
  • Analyze literary themes and authorial intent
  • Produce structured multi-paragraph writing

Full-Day Homeschool Program

SCHEDULE: MONDAY–FRIDAY, 9:00AM–3:30PM

Daily instruction and real accountability for families schooling at home. We work alongside accredited distance-learning programs to prepare kids for international school or study abroad.

  • Comprehensive core curriculum support
  • Project-based learning and electives
  • Accountability and progress tracking

What a class looks like

  • Structured morning lessons
  • Collaborative afternoon projects
  • One-on-one check-ins and tutoring

By the end of a term, a student can

  • Complete distance-learning requirements with mastery
  • Manage a daily academic schedule independently
  • Transition smoothly to international school settings
